Who is Eligible for the 78-Day Railway Bonus?
The following employees are eligible:
✅ All Group C and Group D employees (non-gazetted staff)
✅ Employees directly involved in railway operations and services
✅ Permanent and temporary railway employees with at least 1 year of service
The following are not eligible:
❌ PF (Railway Protection Force) personnel
❌ RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force) personnel
❌ Officers and Gazetted employee
How is the Bonus Calculated?
The bonus is calculated based on the number of days worked and the average salary (with a wage ceiling).

Average Salary × Bonus Days ÷ 30.4 -
Wage Ceiling: Rs.7,000 per month (for bonus calculation purpose)

Maximum Bonus Amount: Around Rs.17,951 per employee
Example:
If an employee’s basic pay + DA = Rs.7,000 (ceiling amount),
then for 78 days → Bonus ≈ Rs.17,951.
